So we took a couple of weeks off for the holidays but we don’t want to get sidetracked from honing up on the Rules of Golf before the season starts and we are more interested in our golf game, golf fashion and interesting golf stories. For me, that is so much more interesting to write about but rules are important if you are playing team matches or tournaments. Tell me you have never hit a ball that you cannot find! I can tell you that I have hit my ball in broad daylight even on the fairway and have not found it. My playing partners and I know exactly where it should be. But when we get there we cannot find the the little thing. Since we cannot look forever I drop a ball where I think it should have been and play on BUT if that was a match what would I do? Dan Brosnihan at Quail Ridge CC in Boynton Beach, FL let’s us know just what to do. He also discusses in this very precise and easy to understand video how to handle a ball out of bounds. That is the white stake or line at the outer boundary of the course that can creep up on you when you least expect it. Take a look and let me know what you think.
